Neubrandenburg (New Brandenburg, IPA: [nɔʏˈbʁandənbʊʁk]) is a city in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It is situated in the southeastern part of the state, at the shore of a lake called the Tollensesee (18 km²).
The city is famous for its rich medieval heritage of Brick Gothic. It also belongs to the famous European Route of Brick Gothic, that leads through 7 countries along the Baltic Sea coast.
